Read Reality.

And if at all you want to read, read reality and not un-attainable fairy tales.
Remember you are not reading to be grammatically impressed  , read things that would change you positively and not just add to your reading status.

I've read some big books, people talk of and I've  realised the ambiguity they entail alone makes you give up on the  goal they preach about, half way to attainment .
You might not want to accept  that theory but I'm sure you might have found  yourself reading  a whole book  or write up online , only to end up influencing a change it preached just within a day or week, then  you just forget about it all. I'm sure you definitely have, on several occasions.
Time, they say, is very valuable . And laziness they say, is very easy.
We see many people these days who read because many of their peers or age bracket, says they are doing so to get enlightened.  And  when they do, they only  end up discovering they are getting enlightened just within the moments of reading, and when they are done , it's all gone!
All you discover is that you are using one or two words from the book in a write up you want to make somewhere. In fact, you might not even remember which book it was you got the words from.
Do you really think reading a book for 7days is worth just 3words?
Why not know your type of book/write-ups today and invest valuable time into them.
If you get infuriated by ambiguous words, go for books and write-ups with simple words.  Never make a mistake of ignoring reading.
If it is cartoons you love reading, focus on them. Even professors  read cartoons.
If you are the type that loves short length write-ups/books go for short length works, and if at all you want to go for a lengthy one , let it be that, which would be worth your time.
You see people throw away their reading habit because some works have infuriated them on several occasions.
I see youth carry novels around like it is their birthright, but when you get close, you realise only 10 percent of the are actually reading for a valuable and safe enlightenment.
Some people read novels to masturbate , some read to learn tactics of romance, some read to run away from their real life, some read to just show people they read, some read to learn new words, that are actually archaic (old) which ends up affecting them for a long time, because their friends won't want to correct them or make them feel embarrassed .Even their families who are not educated won't be able to correct them because they actually think their child is just reaching heights they never reached even if it is 'I will kill you all ' the child  speak at home.
Some read to portray a a physical attribute no one is really paying attention to.

Reading is not a professional skill, or status in life. It only support skills/status and most especially, it changes life when exercised reasonably .
You say a secondary school girl reading 'The law of seduction', what does she really have to seduce at that stage if not her book/education?
Read for a purpose and not just to oppose a notion.
Invest your time wisely. Foreign books will never make you foreign.
Always read reality.
There are 60percent of disappointments in youthful relationships today that can be attributed to day dreaming gotten from fairy tales read from novels and books.
We forget our environment is different from theirs, our institutions are different from theirs, the writer's(foreign/local)  environment is different from yours . Never rely totally on books or write-ups, it is not advisable if they don't fit into your situations.
NB : Don't make the mistake of reading a romance novel to help your relationship in  this economic situation, you might just end evoking frustration into your relationship when you think you are evoking romance.  (sarcasm)
